Join us for a fun filled day at Killingly's Great Tomato Festival

 
SEPTEMBER 10, 9-3 PM    DAVIS PARK, KILLINGLY, CT
FILLED WITH FUN, EXCITEMENT, CHALLENGES, ART, GOOD FOOD AND AGRICULTURAL EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES.

This year there will be a PARADE down Main St. starting at 10:30.  The theme for the parade is "Our Town". Participation is open to entrees from surrounding towns.  Enter a float or a marching unit. The parade is being organized by Westfield Church. For more info go to www.westfielducc.org/parade

 

Presented together with the Killingly Parks and Rec Dept., the Killingly Business Association Art & Craft Fair, Frito-Lay Community Services Day, Westfield Church and the Northeast Ct Farmers Market.

CONTESTS OF ALL KINDS:

Chili Cook-off - Local Churches and organizations will be submitting their famous chili for review by the general public for a "Peoples Choice" award.  You can be a judge. Stop by the "Chili Cook-off booth to taste and vote.

Crafts - set up at several locations for the young ones to be creative.
Kid's Farmers Market - "dig" potatoes, pick "tomatoes", and more.  
Pet the Goats.  
Bean Bag Toss
Decorate Mr. & Mrs. Tomato Head - at the Killingly Grange Booth.  
Photo Opps
Entertainment -  several local artists will be performing, volunteering their time and talent.  Plan on listening to Dragonfly Diversion at 11:30, Bill Somers at 12:30, and Kala Farnham at 1:30 pm.  Fantastic local artists.

Frito-Lay sponsored Community Services Day.  Many of the programs and services avialable in Killingly and the surrounding area will be available to tell you what they do.

Killingly Cooks - area restaurants, caterers and food trucks on hand to serve a variety of great food.  Sponsored by Killingly Parks and Rec.

Arts and Craft Fair sponsored by the Killingly Business Association.  Crafters from far and wide will be selling their creations.  Support locally made.

This time of the year we are busy planning for Killingly's Great Tomato Festival, held annually in Davis Park.  It includes a parade, many activities for kids and families, contests of all kinds, an arts & craft fair, live entertainment, a farmers market and loads of food vendors.  Click on some of the links below to see what is scheduled and to see some of the 2015 videos and pictures.
